LAKE LOUISE

Known as the Jewel of the Rockies, Lake Louise boasts dramatic scenery, great hikes, and activities such as canoeing and horseback riding. The turquoise lake, the backdrop of Victoria Glacier and soaring mountain make for incredible hiking for you to enjoy.

Named after one of Queen Victoria’s daughter, Lake Louise is a truly awe-inspiring sight. Lake Louise was previously known as the Lake of the Little Fishes by the Stoney Nakoda First Nations people. It measures about 2.5 kilometres (1.5 miles) long and 90 metres (295 feet) deep.

DEER LODGE

Deer Lodge is just minutes away from world famous Lake Louise. The lodge is a testament to a bygone era and retains much of its original hand-hewn log structure and decor. Built in 1923 as a teahouse, the lodge officially opened as a hotel in 1925. Deer Lodge was completely renovated, restored and winterized in 1985.
