MORAINE LAKE

Situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks sits the absolutely stunning Moraine Lake. Often inaccessible due to traffic restrictions, feel confident knowing that you won't be turned away. Go for a canoe, peaceful lunch or head out on one of the many hiking trails that begin from here.

Moraine Lake Lodge

Wine lovers will delight in the impressive wine cellar, including Canadian and American vintages. Graced by a large stone fireplace and an elegant Rocky Mountain interior, views of Moraine Lake through the massive windows in the atrium provide a spectacular vista.

Reservations are highly recommended, though walk-ins are welcomed when space permits.

Dining Room hours are breakfast 7:00am -10:30am and dinner 5:30pm -9:00pm

Café and Gift Shop

The Snowshoe Café is open daily and offers a variety of deli foods, fresh baked pastries, hot and cold meals, beverages, snacks and ice creams.

Hiking Trails

THE ROCKPILE

The short, interpretive trail up the Rockpile, located adjacent to the Lodge, provides a detailed introduction to the environment and the history of the Ten Peaks.

 

Distance: 0.35 km one way

Time: Thirty minutes return

CONSOLATION LAKES

Hiking to Consolation Lakes requires much less effort than most of the Moraine Lake

trails, but rewards the hiker with views of high alpine meadows, enormous talus slopes, and the Quadra Glacier.

 

Distance: 2.9km one way

Time: Two hours return

 

We recommend hiking in groups of 4.

Trails may close due to presence of wildlife

Seasonal restrictions are imposed and require hikers to be in groups of 4.

LARCH VALLEY &
MINNESTIMMA
LAKES

Hike into a unique larch forest high above Moraine Lake. Views of the Ten Peaks are breathtaking.

Time: Three to four hours return
